According to The London Evening Standard, Crystal Palace’s Alan Pardew and Steve Parish are locked in discussions over the future of the club.
The Eagles have been in dire straits in recent weeks with them losing six games on the bounce in the league and our Palace fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly worried about where this year could head.
The south London side are one of the most out of form teams in the country right now and that suggests there’s only one way they’ll be heading if things do not get sorted – down.
They went to fellow relegation candidates Swansea last weekend and managed to throw away a 4-3 win in the last few minutes to lose 5-4, increasing the pressure on Pardew and now things really seem to be reaching their crescendo.
Pardew and Parish are thought to have a close relationship meaning the manager may be getting more time than others to turn things around but, for our Eagles here by the bar at least, that isn’t good enough.
They think with results as they are Pardew cannot have much time left ahead of their latest fixture against one of his old sides this weekend – Southampton.
