Dalglish’s £15M Striker Bid To Break Spurs’ Fans Hearts In Two

According to Caughtoffside, Liverpool are plotting to hijack Tottenham Hostpur’s hopes of sign Emmanuel Adebayor on a permanent basis by bidding £15 million for him next summer.

Adebayor is currently on a season-long loan at Spurs from Manchester City and is playing some of the best football of his career at White Hart Lane. Since Adebayor made his debut for Spurs against Wolves in September, a game in which he scored, they have been unbeaten in the Premier League with him in the side.

The 27 year-old Togo striker has scored 5 goals in 9 games for Harry Redknapp’s side so far, in an unbeaten run which stretches back to the 10th September. Spurs have won 10 of their last 11 matches in the league.

It appears that Liverpool are beginning to lose patience with Andy Carroll due to his poor performances and lack of goals since his £35 million switch from Newcastle. It now seems like Liverpool may be looking to add another striker to their ranks for next season and Adebayor has emerged as a possible target.

Adebayor is surplus to requirements at Manchester City and they are keen to offload him on a permanent basis, but the striker has already admitted that a permanent move to Spurs may be scuppered due to the club’s wage structure.

This has apparently alerted Liverpool, who feel they can match Adebayor’s big wage demands and lure him to Anfield next season. Caughtoffside believe that a bid of £15 million will be enough for Liverpool to land the ex-Arsenal striker.
