Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal to sign 15 year-old Swiss sensation Nicholas Hunziker, according to various sources including The Daily Mirror and The Daily Mail.
The Mirror claimed that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish sent scout Frank McParland, Director of Academy and Player Development at Liverpool, to watch the FC Basle striker for a number of weeks and it seems the reports that came back pleased Dalglish to the point where he is ready to complete a deal for the youngster as soon as possible.
Liverpool are reportedly in a hurry to conclude the deal as other clubs across Europe are also interested in Hunziker. Juventus, Napoli, Arsenal and Newcastle are just a handful of teams who have also had their eyes on the young Swiss starlet.
Hunziker caught the attention of several teams when he scored a hat-trick for the Switzerland youth team on his debut and his progress has been closely monitored since.
Liverpool would be able to buy the 15 year-old striker for a nominal fee and they would be able to continue his development at the Liverpool academy.
