West Ham have confidence running through the team right now as Manuel Pellegrini looks to build on a solid start.
After a hard run of games, the Hammers are in a good position to now kick on and prove to the rest of the league why their £100 million summer spree was worth it.
Manuel Pellegrini’s attacking style of play has helped West Ham reform themselves into a new-look side, that is a lot harder to play against.
With a tighter defence and a more potent array of attackers, it really could eventually turn out to be a successful season for the Hammers.
One of their best players once again this season has been Pablo Zabaleta but with just months left on his contract, West Ham could look for a right-back to come in and replace him straight away, should he leave.
Frankfurt’s Danny da Costa is an option West Ham must consider surely if they want a talented right-back.
Da Costa, who is valued at £4.5 million on Transfermarkt, has been an important feature in Frankfurt’s set-up this season in both the Bundesliga and Europa League.
He has made 15 appearances already and managed two goals as well as an assist.
With Pablo Zabaleta out of contract in the summer, West Ham may be gutted to lose the hard-working Argentine initially but Danny da Costa could prove to be more than an adequate replacement.
At 25-years-old, Da Costa has plenty of years ahead to enjoy his best years with West Ham and help them move on to bigger and better things.
Should West Ham look at Da Costa as a back-up right-back… Let us know!
