Southampton failed to secure all three points against Burnley earlier on today as they had to settle for a point at Turf Moor.
The Saints will be disappointed that they couldn’t find the winning goal earlier on today as these are the kind of games that Southampton need to be winning if they are to steer clear of relegation trouble.
Sadly, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side face a potentially huge stumbling block, as according to Southampton’s official Twitter account, Danny Ings was substituted in the 27th minute after picking up a knock.

Southampton were forced into making an early change at Turf Moor earlier on today as Danny Ings was forced off with a knock.
Of course, the Saints will be sweating over Ings’ injury as they failed to bring in a striker during the January transfer window, and Manolo Gabbiadini joined Italian side Sampdoria on loan, so they’re light on goalscoring options.
Danny Ings has been the standout performer in the current campaign for Southampton, having produced an impressive eight goals in all competitions, so he will be dearly missed.
Indeed, the likes of Shane Long and Charlie Austin have only managed to score a combined four goals this season, so the Saints now find themselves in a spot of bother.
