Danny Rose prefers PSG move over Schalke

Tottenham Hotspur became the first team in Premier League history not to make a signing during the summer transfer window.

However, with deadlines in Europe at the end of August, Spurs could still see a number of players depart from north London.

One man that looks likely to depart is Danny Rose and according to reports, it is believed he has a favoured destination.

The Sun are claiming that the England international is thought to be holding out for a move to Paris Saint-Germain, rather than a switch to Schalke.

It was understood that the Bundesliga outfit made contact with Spurs about a move but it is believed the 28-year-old is favouring a move to the Ligue One giants as they are in need of a first-choice left-back.

The Verdict:

Tottenham were prepared to offload Rose before the end of the transfer window, however, with the lack of additions that now remains to be seen.

A club could still come in for the England international with the teams in Europe still able to conduct business until the end of the month.

A move would make sense for Rose, as he has fallen down the order behind Ben Davies, whilst he also lost his place in the Three Lions side during the World Cup.
