Danny Rose suffers groin injury in Cardiff victory

Tottenham Hotspur managed to get the three points against Cardiff City on Saturday, however, it may have come at a cost.

Danny Rose had to leave the field as the game entered the final ten minutes with an injury, adding to the extensive list that Spurs already have when it comes to those on the sidelines.

Speaking in his post-match interview, via football.london, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the left-back picked up a groin injury and will need to be assessed.

Rose joins the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Serge Aurier on the sidelines.

The club and player will be hoping that it is not too serious and that he will be able to return quickly.

The Verdict:

Tottenham’s bad luck with injuries looks to be continuing and Pochettino must be wondering when his team will catch a break.

With the international break to come, it could be a perfect time for their players to recuperate and get back to fitness.

Spurs restart their campaign with an away trip to London rivals West Ham United in two weeks, although Rose will be hopeful he can feature for England against Spain and Croatia in the Nations League.
