Danny Welbeck’s injury really did not come at a time for him and his Arsenal career did it? The striker is entering the final few months of his present deal and is still continuing his efforts to recover from the serious ankle injury he picked up against Sporting Lisbon back in September.
However, it appears the forward has been taking some crucial steps in his recovery process and it may not have come at a better time for the attacker.
What’s the News?
Welbeck took to his personal Twitter account to provide fans with an update on his recovery, uploading a photo showing that he was back running.

It is an encouraging sign of things to come, however, there will be doubts about whether he will play for Arsenal again as his contract expires in the summer.
Whether Welbeck manages to make a return to action by the end of the season remains to be seen, however, the news will be rather encouraging for all involved.
The 28-year-old has had to undergo two operations to fix the problem he suffered in their Europa League clash with Sporting and had been expected to miss the remainder of the current campaign.
The fact that he would not have been able to play would have thrown his future at the Emirates Stadium in serious jeopardy as Unai Emery may want to head into a new direction with the squad he inherited.
However, if the England international is able to get back on the training pitch – or even feature in a first-team match – before the end of the campaign, he could be able to do enough to convince Arsenal to offer him a new deal.
