West Bromwich Albion fans here in the Tavern are praying that their side can secure three points later on today, as anything but a win would condemn them to relegation.
Indeed, the Baggies will be praying on a miracle from here on in until the end of the season, with arguably the biggest match in their entire season coming up later on today, as Tottenham Hotspur will travel to the Hawthorns. However, many of our local residents received some mixed news prior to kick-off, as according to the Birmingham Mail’s pre-match team news, Nacer Chadli has an outside chance of facing his former club and Daniel Sturridge could feature, while Gareth Barry and James Morrison are likely to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Nacer Chadli has an outside chance of facing his former club later on today as he will be hoping to have a positive effect on their survival bid, with many of our local residents believing that he could turn this mess around.
Similarly, Daniel Sturridge could feature against Spurs later on today after failing to earn any minutes last time out at St James’ Park.
However, Gareth Barry and James Morrison are both likely to be out for the remainder of the current campaign, as they are both suffering with knee and calf injuries respectively.
Daniel Sturridge and Nacer Chadli could have a massive effect on today’s encounter if they get the nod, as both players have experience at a higher level and the quality to trouble a team like Tottenham. Although, with the experienced Gareth Barry and James Morrison missing from their ranks, many of our local residents are now beginning to fear the worst.
