David Moyes hints rival clubs are ready to table offers for his services – report

West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to make a number of changes in the summer, however, things could have been different for the London Stadium outfit.

David Moyes was brought into the Hammers to save them from relegation after a disappointing opening to the season, which he ultimately did, but he has revealed he had an offer from another Premier League club to help them once he arrived in east London.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Scottish manager stated that he would not be short of offers either, should his current deal in the capital not be renewed.

“I could have joined a Premier League club during the season here when I was West Ham manager,” he told the media outlet.

“I chose not to. But I’ve got other things if it’s not renewed. It’s not a problem.

“There is nothing scheduled. We always said even in November don’t ask me because we won’t have an idea before the end of the season.”

Landlord’s Verdict

The West Ham fans in the Tavern will be curious about which Premier League club were interested in taking Moyes away from the London Stadium, although a number of the locals would not have been disappointed if it had happened.

Moyes was not a fan-favourite when he arrived at the club and a number of the punters will not be best pleased if he remains in East London beyond the end of the season, despite saving them from relegation.
