David Moyes interested in bringing duo to Sunderland (Not Fellaini/Januzaj)

The Sunderland fans who are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking the club with a move for a promising duo.

According to a report from Belgian news outlet HLN Sport, the Premier League club are interested in bringing Anderlecht duo Stefano Okaka and Kara Mbodji to the club this summer.

David Moyes has earmarked a move for the pair as he puts his plans in place to hopefully avoid a repeat of last season’s fight against relegation.

Okaka is a big and strong Italian striker who would give defenders a nightmare next season, but the club face competition for his signature with an unnamed Chinese Super League club also interested in the player.

As for Mbodji he is a 26-year-old Senegelese international defender who started his career in Norway before moving to Belgium with Genk and most recently Anderlecht, he has represented his country on 24 occasions to date and would be a great addition if Moyes decides to make a move.

Our landlord has high hopes for Moyesy at Sunderland in the new season, and thinks the Black Cats can steer well clear of relegation!
