West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are expecting a busy summer as David Moyes could look to conduct a major overhaul, after witnessing the disasters of the current campaign.
Indeed, the Hammers have flirted with the possibility of relegation throughout the current campaign, and still could drop down to the Championship with a handful of games left to play. Although, it appears as if David Moyes is already looking at potential summer transfer window additions, as according to the Mirror, West Ham United have been in contact with Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s advisors.
The Belgian has served notice to quit Old Trafford, despite Jose Mourinho’s efforts to keep him at Manchester United after turning down an improved new contract. Interestingly, his current contract at the Manchester club runs out this summer, so he is available to join any interested club on a Bosman free.
And, it appears that West Ham United are in the hunt for the midfielder as David Moyes will look to manage the Belgian international once again, after signing him during his managerial stints at Manchester United and Everton.
However, they do face stiff competition for his signature as Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Monaco, Besiktas and Leicester have all been in contact with his advisors.
There’s no doubt that Marouane Fellaini would be an incredible signing for the Hammers if they can manage to pull it off, as an experienced midfielder that could take them to the next level. Although, with a number of European giants on the hunt for the Belgian, it looks as if West Ham United will need to do something special to catch his attention.
