Some news that has turned a lot of heads here in the boozy Tavern today, that may well pave the way for a few new faces arriving at Manchester United.
Sky Sports are reporting that ex-Barcelona Goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who has had a less than impressive spell at Manchester United, has agreed a deal to move to Turkish side Besiktas.
Despite uncertainty remaining over the future of David De Gea, the talk of Victor Valdes leaving Old Trafford has been rife throughout this summer window, and now it seems to have materialised.
The 33-year old, made over 500 appearances for Barcelona and became somewhat of a club legend, however in England he managed a disappointing two appearances and may well regret ever coming to these shores!
Valdes will join the likes of Nani and Robin Van Persie, who have already swapped the Theatre of Dreams for the Turkish league this summer.
A number of our resident United fans here in the Tavern are not surprised at this news in the slightest, and feel it is a shame that the Spaniard was not given a proper chance to excel at Old Trafford!
