Bournemouth fans in The Transfer Tavern playing darts are discussing reports disclosing the club are close to signing a new midfielder.
De Guzman is set to leave Napoli for the same sort of deal that Bournemouth failed with to bring the Dutchman back to England during the summer.
In the summer it was reported that a fee of around £720,000 had been agreed between the two sides and that De Guzman was set for a medical, before the player had a change of heart and decided to fight for his future with the Italian club.
The 28-year-old had a successful two seasons on loan in South Wales with Swansea during his time with Villarreal but when Swansea were keen to sign the player at the end of the 2013/14 season, De Guzman opted for a move to Naples.
However, after just 23 appearances for the club over a season and a half, De Guzman has decided the time is right to leave and will most likely sign terms at Dean Court during the January transfer window.
The Bournemouth fans in The Transfer are delighted that the club are close to the signing of a player who excelled during his time in the Premier League previously, and hope that he proves to be a vital piece of the jigsaw as they fight for survival in the Premier League.
