There is cause for celebration for the Everton supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern, with the news emerging via The Daily Star that the club has completed a deal for Leeds United star Sam Byram.
The 22-year-old has completed a medical and the youngster will make the leap to the Premier League after emerging through the youth ranks at Elland Road.
Whites boss Steve Evans had hope that the versatile performer would stick around at the Championship club although Evans’ hands were seemingly tied after the chairman of the club admitted he was keen to sell.
One Toffees supporter is over by the pool table and thinks the club have done a great deal, believing that the £3.5 million fee represents a great deal for the club.
It now remains to be seen just how Byram will adapt to life in the Premier League and it will also be fairly intriguing to see which position, Roberto Martinez chooses to play his new recruit.
