Deal Close: Manchester United executive lands in Spain to finalise huge transfer

PedroSome better news coming in to the Football Transfer Tavern concerning Red Devils fans today, and its all about that Barcelona man again – Pedro.

In reports that are making the United lads get in a fair few rounds, the Daily Mail are saying that Old Trafford Chief Executive, Ed Woodward has landed in Spain in the last 24 hours to finish off a deal for the La Liga star winger.

As expected, a deal has gathered a feeling of inevitability now that the second-leg of the Spanish Super-cup has been completed.

The transfer is thought to be worth in the region of £22 million, and with Woodward keen to silence any interest from rivals Manchester City and Chelsea a like, an announcement of the signing could be imminent.

Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern had this to say: “It is about time they sorted this one out, no Di Maria any more and United might have started well but they need that squad depth sooner rather than later!”

What do you think United fans? Is this finally the end of the Pedro-saga? Happy to see him arrive? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
