Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have got a fresh round in and they’re braced for an imminent new signing, with a player confirming his move.
Nigerian media outlet Tribune state that Kelechi Nwakali is flying to London to complete a transfer to Arsenal, where the U17 Nigeria captain will continue to develop in a career where he’s tipped to be a massive star.
Arsenal have already signed a midfielder this month, capturing Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel, but unlike the Egyptian, Nwakali will be a part of the development squad and it is unlikely he’d make a first-team appearance anytime soon.
Nwakali himself has confirmed his imminent switch to the Gunners, as he stated:
‘I am going to Arsenal to work and try to be the best I can. With God anything is possible, to work hard to justify my claim for first team football.’
Our landlord has seen glimpses of the young talent and believes he can be a star with the right guidance, so he’s keen to see how he progresses in North London.
