The Blackburn Rovers supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been relishing the prospect of seeing so many new arrivals at the club, after a mid-season ram-raid on the transfer market by new boss Paul Lambert.
One Rovers supporting punter is awaiting his burger and pint meal deal when he spots an article on Chronicle Live which claims the club are set to sign Sunderland midfielder Jordi Gomez on loan for the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old has barely been used by Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce and hasn’t made a first-team appearance since Boxing Day, with the boss stating that he would not stand in Gomez’s way should he wish to leave the club.
The resident DJ in the Transfer Tavern has a sidekick with him ready for the quiz night and he things that Gomez is a real coup for Rovers and hopes the flamboyant midfielder can replicate his form which he showed in a Wigan shirt.
