The Swansea City fans are gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern this evening selecting some tunes and discussing reports of them closing in on a new striker.
The Times is reporting that the Premier League side are close to signing Chievo front man Alberto Paloschi after having a £7.5 million bid accepted by the Serie A club.
The 26 year old Italian began his career with AC Milan, before taking in spells at Parma and Genoa whom he left in 2011, for a return to Milan.
He was immediately loaned out to Chievo initially on a season long loan for the duration of the 2011/12, his loan was then extended until the end of the following season and then both sides opted for co-ownership of the player when Chievo paid €3.5 million.
During his time with Chievo he has appeared on 139 occasions and scored 40 goals.
Our landlord in The Tavern is wondering wether this will pave the way for Andre Ayew to make the move to Sunderland should Paloschi sign for the Welsh side.
As for the Swansea fans they are delighted that the club are looking to bring in reinforcements up front and are hopeful that Paloschi will play an important role in keeping the club in the Premier League.
