The Hammers faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern are licking their lips at the prospect of this one – a Juventus striker set to join the East London club!
This is the latest talk coming out of Sky Sports – Following on from an impressive season at Sassuolo last year notching up 11 goals, Juventus pounced on 24-year-old striker Simone Zaza.
However, with injury problems strife in the Hammers front-line, Slaven Bilic has been looking to find another striker to fill the void.
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels a loan deal for the Juve striker would be a good deal for both parties, with West Ham desperately in need of some more fire power up top, whilst giving the striker an opportunity to gain some more top level football, before a return to Juventus in the future.
A deal that will have West Ham fans sinking the beers in celebration – could this be just what they need to bounce back from two disappointing defeats?
Mike, a hardcore West Ham United fan over by the pool table here in the Transfer Tavern had his say on this news, “This looks like it could be a shrewd move from Bilic, but I really wish we went in for someone like Charlie Austin from QPR, he’s a proven Premier League goalscorer!”
