Deal close: West Ham United striker set to complete China move

Nikica JelavicThe West Ham United fans in The Transfer Tavern are having a friendly game of pool and discussing reports that one of their strikers is set to exit the club.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Nikica Jelevic is set for a £4 million move to Chinese side Beijing Rehne.

Jelevic only arrived at West Ham United during the summer but has failed to rekindle the form that he possessed during his earlier years in England with Everton.

Jelevic is expected to complete the move to the Far East later this week having flown out to discuss personal terms.

During his time at West Ham he has managed to score just twice in 14 appearances and with the form of the strikers at the club the Croatian has fallen well down the pecking order and out of Slaven Bilic’s plans.

The West Ham fans in The Tavern are delighted with the news as they feel the players wages will be better spent elsewhere on the squad.

Hammers fans, where did it go wrong for Jelavic? Let us know in the comments!
