Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to push for the Premier League title next season after struggling to ensure consistency at times.
Indeed, Spurs won’t want to spend too long dwelling on signings this summer as they need to strengthen in quick time, with pre-season being crucial to their chances of success. And, it looks as if that’s exactly what they’re doing, as according to Record, Tottenham are eyeing a €30 (£26.4) million deal to sign Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo.
Interestingly, it’s believed that Spurs are looking to splash the cash on a new left-back this summer, with a deal being lined up for Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo.
However, any deal is understood to be dependent on the future of Danny Rose, who has repeatedly been linked with a move away from North London.
The Spaniard has a €30 (£26.4) million buy-out clause, and Italian giants Napoli are also interested.
So, it looks as if Spurs are eyeing a sensational swoop for Alex Grimaldo this summer, with Danny Rose’s future remaining uncertain. Therefore, the Spaniard may take Rose’s place in the starting lineup if he decides to leave this summer, as a potential replacement for the Englishman.
