Deal off: Club refuses to speak to Spurs regarding striker

berahino00Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been throwing their weight around the bar in anger this evening following the latest reports, forcing our landlord to intervene and threaten to bar the supporters.

They’re feeling aggrieved after The Mirror reported Tottenham’s chances of completing a move for Saido Berahino in January are left dead in the water, with West Brom refusing to speak to the North London side.

Berahino has been chased by Spurs since the summer, when he tried to force a move to Tottenham and threatened to never play for the West Midlands side again. Whilst he’s since gone back on that claim, West Brom have not forgotten.

Baggies chief Jeremy Peace is refusing to talk to Spurs counterpart Daniel Levy after their massive fall-out concerning Berahino last summer.

Levy’s jibe towards a ‘disrespectful’ West Brom has come back to haunt him though, as the Baggies hold all the bargaining chips. Whilst Berahino is still likely to be on the way out, it seems North London will not be his destination.

After calming down, the Spurs lads in the bar have stated their anger is directed towards Daniel Levy as they feel he was out of place with his comments in the summer and that it’s now had a major effect on their transfer activity.

Will Tottenham Hotspur finally land Saido Berahino in January? Let us know in the comments below!
