Deal seemingly close as Manchester City reportedly agree major January move

Manchester City have allegedly agreed on a deal to sign Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte for a huge fee, much to the delight of the Sky Blues who prop up the bar here in the Transfer Tavern. 

According to Italian transfer guru, Di Marzio, the Citizens have agreed on a fee to sign Aymeric Laporte from Atheltic Bilbao.

The 23-year-old is extensively considered as one of the most proficient and technically gifted defenders on the planet, which is a strong indicator of the ambition that Manchester City are showing in the transfer market. It can also be perceived as a sign of how intent Pep Guardiola’s team are on winning the Premier League title.

It is believed that the French defender will undertake a medical on Tuesday before completing his transfer to Manchester City.
