Arsenal have splashed the cash this summer since Unai Emery arrived at the club, but a recent tweet from Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones suggests their recruitment drive might not be finished just yet.
The signs are promising for the Gunners ahead of the new season due to the influx of new talent who arrived at the Emirates Stadium during the course of the summer so far.
How Emery’s new-look side will perform in the Premier League is bound to be one of the most intriguing sub-plots of the entire season, and their bid to return to Champions League football could be set for a further boost before the transfer window slams shut.
According to the reliable journalist Dean Jones on Twitter, Arsenal have a genuine interest in signing Kingsley Coman (valued at £45 million by Transfermarkt) this summer, although he is unsure how likely it is that Emery will be able to secure his signature.
Arsenal supporters should be absolutely delighted that their club are entertaining the possibility of signing Coman this summer, as his blistering pace and direct style of dribbling would certainly get them out of their seats at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At just 22-years-of-age Coman is certainly a player with plenty of scope for development, so it would be a surprise if Bayern Munich were willing to let him depart the Allianz Arena this summer.
However, if the Bavarian giants are willing to listen to offers, Arsenal should be willing to pay a huge fee for his services, as his arrival would add a significant layer of quality to their attacking options ahead of a huge transition season in North London.
