Debut of Manhester United centre-back delayed due to transfer issues

vangaaaalManchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned to hear about red tape concerning one of their summer arrivals, who is yet to make an appearance competitively for the club.

17-year-old Regan Poole signed in the post-season from Newport County but has so far only appeared in friendlies for Paul McGuinness’ academy side; as the transfer is yet to receive international clearance.

The Welsh teenager made his professional debut at the age of just 16 and is highly-rated, after going on to make 17 appearances for the Exiles before sealing a dream move to Manchester United.

Any hopes of forcing his way into the first-team picture have been dashed by the problems though, as legally Poole is not allowed to feature in competitive matches.

It’s not stated when this issue will be resolved but Louis Van Gaal, and the rest of the United hierarchy, will be hoping the problem can swiftly be put behind them in order to develop the excelling star fully.

United fans in the bar have started making bets as to whether Poole will make an appearance before the end of the season, with the old man in the corner claiming he will be the next Aaron Ramsey.
