After hearing Unai Emery’s frank and honest comments regarding Jack Wilshere, most Arsenal fans have found a new level of respect for their new gaffer. Emery claimed that he could not offer Wilshere a place in the starting eleven and that it was “a tactical and technical decision” to let him go.
"I know this player is important here for the supporters and he grew up here in Arsenal, but I can’t guarantee him a place in the starting 11. It was a tactical, technical decision."

Most of the fans at the time were devasted when Jack Wilshere announced that he’d be leaving the club. The 26-year-old had been with The Gunners for his entire career and enjoyed some superb moments in an Arsenal shirt. At the age of 17, Wilshere broke onto the scene when he started against Barcelona in the Champions League, bossing the midfield despite being up against, Xavi, Andreas Iniesta and Sergio Busquets.
Now though, the English midfielder is faced with resurrecting his career at the London Stadium after signing for The Hammers. Wilshere looks to be one of the key figures that Manuel Pellegrini will be relying on this season as he looks to turn the Stratford club into a side that can push to challenge in the top eight in the Premier League and maybe fight for a place in Europe.

The decision to let Wilshere go was a tough one for Arsenal fans to stomach, but it looks like being the correct one.
