As you’re probably well aware, Tottenham lost 2-1 at The San Siro last night. Despite Mauricio Pochettino’s side being 1-0 up with just five minutes left of the 90, they managed to throw it away and a lot of Tottenham fans have pinpointed the moment where things started to go wrong. Erik Lamela was in fine form but when he was hooked for Harry Winks Spurs fans feared the worst.
72 – It’s time for Winksy:

Little over ten minutes after Lamela was taken off the Tottenham’s fans fears became a reality and Mauro Icardi bludgeoned a superb effort with the outside of his right boot on the volley past Michel Vorm and from there it always looked like Inter had enough left in the tank to finish off the sorry Spurs. Had Lamela been on the pitch things may have been different and the fans have been questioning why their best player on the night was hooked.
Tottenham are going through a really rough patch and whilst football is a fast-moving sport, no one would have guessed that the mood would be this low amongst Tottenham fans in just three weeks time after they smashed three goals past Manchester United at Old Trafford. Lamela has been the shining light against both Liverpool and Inter now and it looks like the fans will be urging the Argentine to start and complete 90 minutes when they travel to Brighton on Saturday.

Why..Erik is the only pace and penetration we have had.

Why not take off Dier instead? Lamela has been playing really well

I can’t help but think this is a negative move. Coco had the beating down the wing. Let’s hope it doesn’t come back to haunt us #COYS
