Defender ready to break back into Manchester United first-team

Further defensive injuries Despite an electric victory on the weekend for Manchester United, that left boozy Red Devils fans over the moon in the Transfer Tavern, there are some undeniable question marks that still remain over the defence of this current United team.

They may have scored three well worked goals, but conceding two at the other end is something that just would not have happened this often under the tenure of Alex Ferguson.

So it is coming as some extremely welcome news to the Theatre of Dreams loyal lads in this pub, that the Daily Telegraph is reporting that club servant and utility defender Phil Jones, is ready to return to the starting line up following the recovery from a blood clot in his leg.

While the defender still comes under some hasty criticsm from fans here inside the Transfer times should he put a foot wrong, he is still young and seen by many as a viable option to take over the captaincy upon Wayne Rooney’s retirement!

What do you think United fans? How important is Phil Jones? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
