Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to still challenge for the title, despite displaying a poor run of form not so long ago.
The Lilywhites started the season in a very impressive manner, but things have now changed as they find themselves having to settle for a top four race. Although, they suffered a huge setback on the injury front recently, as according to Sun Sport, Dele Alli could be sideline for up to a month.
Dele Alli could be sidelined for up to a month after suffering an injury setback.
He had previously hurt his hamstring while on Three Lions duty in the last international break earlier this month.
But, he felt sore in training on Friday and is now facing another stint on the sidelines in a bid to clear up the niggling problem that has blighted his campaign for good.
It means Dele will definitely miss Tottenham’s trip to Huddersfield today and their Champions League clash at home to Barcelona on Wednesday as well as their home clash with Cardiff next Saturday.
Dele Alli has been one of Spurs’ standout performers in seasons gone by and has already left his mark in the current campaign, so they’ll definitely miss his presence against Barcelona and Huddersfield Town.
Indeed, this is a huge blow to any hopes they had of challenging for the Premier League title, as Alli is often the source of all things brilliant for the London club in the final third.
