‘Delusional’ – Fans react to ex-Newcastle player’s bold comments

Former Newcastle United striker Mick Quinn says any excuse Tammy Abraham gives for choosing Swansea over Newcastle is pathetic.

The Chelsea striker is set to join the Swans this summer and snub Newcastle and the ex-Toon forward is angry with his decision.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Quinn shared his disappointment in the striker’s anticipated move to Swansea.

“I have to say I am extremely disappointed in Tammy Abraham,” he said (as reported by Wales Online).

“If he really is set to choose Swansea City over Newcastle United, I would seriously question his decision.

“It shouldn’t take me to tell him that Newcastle is a far bigger football club than Swansea.

“I admit I didn’t release just how huge a club Newcastle was until I signed, but I always knew it was a big club. It’s obvious to anyone outside that Newcastle is one of the top few clubs in the country.

Quinn featured over 100 times for the Magpies, but failed to win a trophy during his time in the North East.

After a year absence, Newcastle are back in the Premier League and have Champions League winner Rafa Benitez in charge. Meanwhile Swansea survived relegation last season after Paul Clement’s appointment.

Twitter users have been indifferent over Quinn’s comments about Abraham…
