Punters here at the Transfer Tavern think this potential move could cause quite a stir, with the Mirror reporting that Michail Antonio could be set for a move to Derby County.
Since a £7 million move from Nottingham Forest to West Ham United, the former Reading forward has become something of a peripheral figure at Upton Park. In fact, so much so, that West Ham co-chairman David Gold was recently tricked into retweeting a missing person appeal, only for it to be Antonio himself.
While at Nottingham Forest, Antonio had been linked with a move to their bitter rivals Derby County, but Forest were reluctant to do business and instead let him leave for the Hammers.
It appears that Derby manager Paul Clement will now find an alternative route to securing Antonio’s services. With Nottingham Forest no longer standing in his way, he will now look to make a £5 million move for Antonio in January instead.
