It seems that Chelsea may finally be closing in on Hulk, if reports are to be believed that Porto are interested in a big money move for Falcao. Funding for this signing could only come from the sale of Hulk.
Replacing their talisman will be difficult, and Falcao seems a good fit, although they will have to act fast to fend off the competition. As such, the Hulk transfer saga, which began some months ago, may finally get the green light.
With Torres still struggling to fit the Chelsea system, and with Sturridge keeping one eye on Spurs, Di Matteo (or maybe we should be saying Abramovich) is keen to improve his attacking options.
With Falcao interested in a move away from Atletico Madrid, this story could easily be made up – it’s a little bit too obvious, considering the merry-go-round here would wrap up a couple of ongoing sagas.
At 26 Hulk has an outstanding record at club level: 52 goals in 96 goals for Porto certainly suggests he could cut it with Chelsea. Let’s hope for everyone’s sake it happens soon, so the media can stop reporting on a story becoming evermore tedious.
