The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to lose patience with their side’s lack of activity this summer, but it’s clear that the minds of many of the Stamford Bridge players are firmly focused on the World Cup.
Indeed, a number of Chelsea’s key men are performing over in Russia at the World Cup, and many of them are doing very well indeed.
One of the most impressive performers has been Victor Moses. He is undeniably now a key man at Chelsea after two campaigns as Antonio Conte’s starting right-back, and he has enjoyed a good couple of years. After several seasons in the wilderness, he’s now an established member of the squad at Stamford Bridge.
The versatile winger has been a regular for Nigeria in the World Cup, and he did his best on Tuesday night to try and get his team to get the required result against Argentina.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be, but it wasn’t through a lack of trying. Moses put in a good performance, and he even scored a penalty that drew the sides level.
That penalty has got a lot of fans talking over on Twitter, and it’s fair to say that they’ve all noticed a pretty interesting parallel between him and Eden Hazard. They think that the nature of Moses’ penalty indicates that he’s been taking lessons from Hazard, given his famed placement-over-power method.
Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
