Disappointing injury update will frustrate Arsenal fans, but there is good news

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back before the end of the season…

The Englishman has endured a frustrating season, having suffered several injuries throughout the course of the campaign, often just as he has been building up a good run of form.

His latest injury, suffered against Southampton, had left many in the pub fearing that his season could be over.

Ben Dinnery has provided an update on the matter on Twitter, and whilst the news is bad for the Gunners – there is a bright side. According to Dinnery, Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely to play again in the Premier League this season – but has a good chance of making the FA Cup final.

This news has divided the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern. Whilst they’re all happy that he might be back for the FA Cup final, many had been hoping that he would be able to have a run out in the Premier League prior to the big day – though it seems as though that is unlikely.

Chamberlain has made 16 starts this season, scoring twice.
