‘Disgrace’, ‘Could be a massive mistake’ – West Ham fans take aim at club following recent reports

West Ham supporters have been pretty despondent in the Transfer Tavern in the last few days after seeing their side concede a late equaliser to only end up drawing 3-3 with fellow strugglers Bournemouth in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

David Moyes’ men led 3-2 heading into added time at the Vitality Stadium thanks to a brace from Marko Arnautovic as well as James Collins’ header, yet they were to be denied a crucial three points as Callum Wilson controversially netted in the third minute of injury time to preserve a point for Eddie Howe’s Cherries. As such, the Hammers remain a point and a place above the South Coast outfit in the Premier League table, and it means that the East London club have lost just one of their last five league games to suggest that they should have enough to pull clear of the relegation mire.

Nonetheless, there have been a few downbeat West Ham fans in the Tavern in recent times, many of whom are hoping that their side can get back to winning ways in their first game of 2018 against West Brom at the London Stadium on January 2.

In the meantime though, there has been plenty for our resident Hammers supporters to get their teeth into, not least recent reports suggesting that youngster Reece Oxford looks set to be sold to RB Leipzig in the forthcoming January window.

The 19-year-old has spent the first half of the current season on loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach, but he has managed just four first team appearances for the club to suggest that he still has a long way to go to fulfil his undoubted potential.

Yet recent reports suggest that RB Leipzig are set to land the versatile star in the New Year, which is news that has stimulated quite a surprised and somewhat angry response from Hammers fans on Twitter, with the board bearing the brunt of their displeasure…
