Manchester City

Do Man City really need to spend millions to seal a deal for this player?

Manchester City supporters in the Transfer Tavern are pleased with the imminent arrival of Danilo from Real Madrid.

According to reports in Italy, Manchester City have beaten Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid’s Brazilian full-back, Danilo.

The 26-year-old can operate on either side of the defence, and the news comes as a disappointment to our resident Chelsea fans who thought that the Brazil international would be playing for Conte this forthcoming season.

Danilo’s primary strength is his versatility; he can play at left-back, right-back or in midfield.

Subsequently, he is particularly adept at passing the ball and certifying that his side retains possession.

Also, his defensive qualities are evident too, he often completes tackles, and his concentration is also outstanding.

However, City fans will be concerned that the Brazilian failed to secure a starting spot at Real Madrid.

Many performances that the former Porto defender produced in the Spanish capital were mediocre and uninspiring.

During his time with Zidane’s team he was far too inconsistent, something that must change if he’s hoping to establish himself as a starter in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Our landlord believes that the arrival of Danilo is a reasonable transfer for the Citizens.

The former Barcelona manager’s need for full-backs is undeniably apparent, and Danilo provides invaluable cover on both sides of his defence.

Additionally, the attacking full-back has amassed sufficient experience of playing at the highest level during his time with Real Madrid.

He could be an exceedingly useful option.
