‘Does not sound good’ – Leeds United fans react on Twitter to first-teamer’s comments

Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by Gaetano Berardi (tweeted by Phil Hay) about the club’s owner, Andrea Radrizzani after United’s owner had criticised the players for their lack of passion, commitment and spirit. Berardi claimed to have not heard about Radrizzani’s comments and said he would speak to the club’s owner about it face-to-face.

The Leeds fans propping our bar up have been suffering a miserable 2018 so far, as the club have only managed to win one game in the Championship since the turn of the year. The club came into the season with high hopes of making it their last in the Championship before a sensational return to the top flight. However, manager Thomas Christiansen became the latest Leeds manager to find himself down the jobcentre as results went against the club, despite the Whites occupying the Championship’s top spot for two weeks in September.

Leeds owner, Andrea Radrizzani, didn’t hold back as he tore into the Leeds squad via a radio interview earlier in the week. The Italian claimed he had given his players everything and that he was frustrated by their lack of passion, commitment and spirit as the Yorkshire club are set to endure another season in the Championship. These comments prompted a reply from Swiss right-back, Berardi, who refused to be drawn too much on the comments, claiming he would speak to the owner face-to-face.
