Domingos Quina shows Manuel Pellegrini what he’s missing with strike

Domingos Quina shows Manuel Pellegrini what he’s missing with strike

West Ham went through a summer of change as the club bought a host of new players while also bringing in former Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini.

Following the Hammer’s terrible season last year, the board had to back their new manager in the transfer market and that’s exactly what they did.

In total, the east London club brought in nine new players in order to push the club back into the top half. However, amid such an influx of new players, the club also lost one of the top talents in their academy, Domingos Quina.

The Portuguese international under-20 international joined Watford late in the transfer window following two years at West Ham.

Making his debut for Watford this week in the EFL Cup, the youngster scored an absolute wonder strike, which won’t please the West Ham faithful.

The former Chelsea and Benfica youth product had always shown promise at West Ham but never managed to break into the first-team during his two years at the club.

The attacking midfield only made a handful of appearances for the club in the cup competitions but could’ve been a great player to have in the ranks for Pellegrini.

Pellegrini has played Wilshere as a number 10 and also at the base of a 4-2-3-1 but so far the Englishman hasn’t shown much form.

Quina wouldn’t have started ahead of him the league but he still could’ve provided some crucial depth for the Hammers.
