Bournemouth fans in the Transfer Tavern have raised a glass to welcome their newest signing to the South Coast and it’s a familiar face that’s joining the Cherries regime.
Bournemouth have officially confirmed the signing of Rhoys Wiggins from Sheffield Wednesday, with the 28-year-old signing a two-and-a-half-year under Eddie Howe’s side.
The talks have been dragging on all day, with our punters first spotting this story on the TV this morning, and they’ve waited patiently to hear confirmation that Wiggins has returned to the Vitality Stadium for a third spell.
Wiggins previously spent two periods on-loan with Bournemouth, before he signed a permanent deal in 2010. However, he moved on just a year later and his latest transfer came back in August when he joined Championship high-flyers Sheffield Wednesday.
By bringing the player to their Premier League campaign though, Bournemouth have landed themselves a decent addition and there should be no issues with the player settling due to his vast experience previously with the Cherries.
