The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have always thought highly of young Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon…
An attacking midfielder by trade, Piazon has been on the Chelsea books since 2011 – and during his early days at the club, he impressed during a spell in the developmental system.
Winning the in-house Young Player of the Year award along the way, Piazon was expected to make the jump into the first team – but as of yet, that hasn’t happened.
Instead, Piazon has become another name in Chelsea’s ever-growing list of on-loan players – and it looks like that will continue for a while yet.
As confirmed on the official Chelsea website, Piazon has extended his loan deal with Fulham until the end of the season, with the Brazilian enjoying a decent spell with the London side.
A regular feature for the club, Piazon has already made 17 appearances this season, alongside 4 goals and 3 assists – with a few of the Fulham fans in the Transfer Tavern touting him as one of their best players this season.
Often utilised on the left-hand side of the attack, Piazon has grown into a pretty stellar player in the Championship.
At 22-years-old, our landlord doesn’t think that the Brazilian will make it into the Chelsea first team anytime soon, and so a good end to the season will be vital as he looks to secure his long-term future.
