Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left wondering if they’ll ever see a player break through from their youth tanks, after another loan move for a young talented was confirmed.
The west London club have officially announced Charley Musonda’s loan deal with Spanish outfit Real Betis has been extended, which will see the 19-year-old starlet spend the entirety of the 2016/17 season on the continent.
Musonda made 19 appearances, scoring one goal, for the Spanish minnows in the second-half of the last campaign and was keen to stay with the club, although Chelsea had a number of offers on the table from across Europe.
The youngster will continue his development in Spain but our landlord is concerned he could just be another player who fails to make the grade at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea having an appalling reputation regarding the process of bleeding young talents into the first-team.
Chelsea fans, would Musonda have had something to offer the first-team this season? Let us know in the comments below!
