Done deal: French club confirm capture of Swansea forward

EderSwansea City fans in the Transfer Tavern have ordered a fresh round of drinks to bring in the end of the working day, as they reserve their spots in front of the TV for the transfer deadline.

They’ve just seen an official deal concerning their club announced, with Lille confirming the signing of Eder on-loan until the end of the season.

Eder only arrived at Swansea City in the summer in July but he’s failed to score in 15 appearances this season, leading new Swans boss Francesco Guidolin to accept the forward’s departure- especially after Saturday’s £8m capture of Alberto Paloschi from Chievo.

Lille are hoping that the addition of the forward will help them stave off the threat of relegation from Ligue 1 this term, which could potentially cripple the famous French side for the future and there’s no guarantee they would ever return.

Our landlord believes Swansea have made a decent move here and he doesn’t expect any further outgoing news from the Welsh club before tonight’s deadline.

Swansea fans, how disappointed were you with Eder? Let us know in the comments below!
