It’s been a quiet few weeks for the West Brom fans in the Transfer Tavern…
The Baggies have been going well in the Premier League, and whilst they were expected to battle relegation this season – Tony Pulis has really turned his tenure at the helm of the club around.
West Brom are currently sat in 9th place in the English top flight at present – far beyond the expectations of even the most optimistic of the Baggies in the Transfer Tavern.
In truth, things are looking pretty rosy at the Hawthornes at present – and earlier today, things got even better.
As confirmed by the official West Brom Twitter, midfielder James McClean has signed a new deal at the club – with his contract now expiring in 2019.

This has pleased the West Brom fans in the Transfer Tavern, who have really been impressed with him this season. Often utilised on the left-hand side of a midfield or attack, McClean has made 15 appearances in the league in total this season – including 7 from the start.
He has a goal and an assist to his name, too, and our landlord thinks that this new deal will only push him on further as the season progresses.
