The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left disappointed with the news from respected journalist, Marin Blackburn, that the Citizens haven’t put a second bid in for Jorginho, despite reports from a number of outlets that they had. Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to sign the Italian, although a deal doesn’t appear to be close at the moment.
Talks ongoing over Jorginho but #Mcfc say no second bid gone in yet.

Most Premier League fans would tell you that Man City don’t need to strengthen their side this summer, after waltzing to the title with 100 points on the board. However, the saying ‘don’t fix what isn’t broken’ doesn’t always apply and with the ageing Fernandninho being the club’s only option in defensive midfield, the club’s decision to try and bring Jorginho to Manchester looks like a good one.
Whilst Jorginho will take time to adapt to English football when he finally arrives, there’s no doubting that the 26-year-old has what it takes to become one of the very best central midfielders in the world. Guardiola’s coaching will only enhance the Italian who’s range of passing and ability to read the game has made him a formidable opponent for Serie A sides to play against this season.
