‘Dreadful’, ‘Shocking’ – West Ham fans urge Moyes not to make massive transfer mistake

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern were intrigued when they spotted David Moyes on their television screens on Wednesday night. No, they hadn’t missed another fixture, but rather, it appears as though Moyes was casting an eye over one of the players of their Premier League rivals.

Chelsea took on Norwich City on Wednesday night in the FA Cup, and Moyes was a curious onlooker, much to the surprise of our resident Hammers.

However, now, several hours after the fact, the reasoning behind his visit has become clear. According to the Daily Mail, the Scotsman was there to watch Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi, who was given a start by Antonio Conte.

Unfortunately, though, the Belgian was far from impressive. Though he managed to bag a goal for the Blues, that was the one consolation on what was an otherwise very poor night. He failed to stake a claim to rival Alvaro Morata for a starting berth long-term, and it’s unlikely that David Moyes was impressed by what he saw.

That’s a sentiment that is shared by the West Ham fans over on Twitter, too, with supporters taking to the site to deliver their verdict on the apparant Moyes target.

It’s fair to say that he’s not a popular man at the London Stadium, with fans urging David Moyes not to make a huge transfer mistake by signing the ‘dreadful’ forward.
