Dream December: Newcastle United
Newcastle United will be desperate to make the most of their upturn in form by climbing as far away from the relegation zone as possible, despite losing to West Ham yesterday.
The Magpies have been one of the form teams in the Premier League recently but yesterday’s result against the Hammers was a big setback as they’ll now have to rethink things.

Although, the Tyneside club will be looking towards the January transfer window, with the opportunity to strengthen in key areas in preparation for a successful second half of the season.

Of course, the month of December will have a huge say on how Newcastle United’s season pans out as things could go one of two ways, with a possible slide back down the table.

With that in mind, here is the dream December for the Magpies…

Salomon Rondon has been one of the signings of the summer for the Magpies having solved their goalscoring problems at the pinnacle of the attack in recent times, with three goals and one assist to his name.

The Magpies still have to deal with the likes of Joselu and Ayoze Perez’s inconsistencies, but the Venezuelan’s presence has certainly made up for the negatives.

So, with the striker enjoying a rich vein of form in the side, supporters would love nothing more than to see him take their side even further up the table by producing another impressive month.

Rafa Benitez’s side were one of the favourites to be relegated towards the start of the season as they failed to secure a win in their first 10 Premier League fixtures. However, times have changed since then as they now find themselves in a much better position, with a number of wins under their belt in recent matches.

Of course, yesterday’s defeat against West Ham United was a big setback, but they have shown that they can enjoy a surprising amount of success under Rafa Benitez in recent times.

After a number of heartbreaking performances towards the start of the current campaign, supporters will be over the moon with the club’s progression. And, if they continue to follow the same pattern over the course of this month, then they could even close in on the top half of the table in time for the New Year.
