Liverpool currently find themselves seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table after capitalising on Manchester City’s collapse at St James’ Park.
The Reds are in an incredibly strong position with the Premier League title well within their sights at this moment in time. Jurgen Klopp is finally starting to reap the rewards for all of his hard work this season, with supporters already starting to dream of their side lifting the title.
Although, the month of February will have a huge say on Liverpool’s campaign, with a number of games to play in the Premier League and the first leg of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
So, here is the dream February for Liverpool…
EXTEND LEAD AT TOP OF PREMIER LEAGUE
Of course, Liverpool will be delighted with the position they currently find themselves in at this moment in time, with a healthy seven point lead over Manchester City.
But, the Citizens were starting to build up ahead of steam prior to their defeat against Newcastle and they have the firepower to go unbeaten from here on in, so extending the lead at the top could prove crucial.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are bound to drop points in the remaining games left in the current campaign, so mounting an unassailable lead at the top would offer them more security.
THUMP BAYERN MUNICH AT ANFIELD
On the 19th of February, Liverpool will welcome German giants Bayern Munich to Anfield for the first leg of their Champions League round of 32 clash.
The Reds will be desperate to go one better than last season in Europe after falling at the last hurdle against Real Madrid, due to a number of goalkeeping errors from Loris Karius.
Indeed, a thumping victory in the first leg against Bayern Munich would put fans in dreamland as they’d be one step closer to achieving their dream, with an easier task ahead in the return leg in Germany.
