Southampton have looked like a completely new side under the guidance of Ralph Hasenhuttl, with a number of positive results to their name already, including victory over Arsenal.
Although, the Saints still find themselves floating around near the relegation, so further improvements are needed if they are to steer clear of the dreaded relegation zone in the current campaign.
Of course, February could turn out to be a key month for everyone involved at the club, with the perfect opportunity to climb up the table as they’ll face the likes of Cardiff City, Fulham and Burnley.
With that in mind, here is the dream February for Southampton…
RALPH HASENHUTTL CONTINUES TO WORK WONDERS
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s influence has been priceless since he took charge at St Mary’s, having taken 14 points from eight games, which is a great turnaround considering they’ve played three of the top six in that space of time.
He has managed to get his troops playing a particular way that has supporters raving at St Mary’s, with his attacking style bringing the very best out of their current batch of players.
So, the Saints will be desperate to continue to excel under his guidance. Indeed, securing three wins in three crucial fixtures against bottom-half teams would make February a month to remember.
CHARLIE AUSTIN HITS TOP FORM
Charlie Austin wasn’t able to secure regular minutes during the first half of the season, but he may now get his chance at St Mary’s as the Saints failed to sign a striker during the January transfer window.
Southampton still find themselves floating around the relegation zone, but things could soon change if Austin starts finding the back of the net as the Englishman can be prolific when he’s performing at the top of his game.
