Everton have been a mixed bag over the past few weeks as they’ve often followed up a positive result with a negative one, which has slightly halted their progress.
The Toffees will definitely need to dip into the January transfer window to secure a couple of world-class players that can help iron over any underlying issues at Goodison Park.
Of course, the month of January will have a huge say on whether Everton are able to meet their aims, as they have a number of difficult fixtures coming up and at least one underperforming player to replace.
Therefore, here is the dream January for Everton…
CEMENT EUROPEAN PLACE
Everton won’t accept anything less than a European place in the current campaign, having come on leaps and bounds under Marco Silva.
Indeed, the Toffees currently find themselves in a promising position in the race for a European place, with a positive run of form in January helping them get to where they want to be.
Of course, sitting in a European place is good enough for supporters, but cementing a place and creating a lead over the trailing pack would make things ten times better.
SECURE CENK TOSUN REPLACEMENT
Cenk Tosun has failed to make any inroads in the current campaign as he continues to disappoint, with a January transfer window exit looking inevitable at this point.
So, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin being the only out-and-out striker at Silva’s disposal at this moment in time, it’s vital that the Toffees secure a world-class replacement for Tosun.
Indeed, a proven striker could make all the difference in the big games against the top-six sides, and it would allow Richarlison to permanently line up in his preferred position on the right-hand side of the attack.
